Tonight we had visitors from Reykjavik, Kalli and Adina who brought a wonderful rack of lamb for dinner. We wondered if we should move the dining room table into the bathroom, which is where we look out eastwards to the volcano, so we could continue watching as we ate dinner. But every so often someone would shout, "ooooh come look" and everyone ran into the bathroom to see what the volcano was doing. Mostly it was just continuing to mushroom and throw in bolts of lightning for good measure.
You see our friends even bring food now!!!
At least no one had to evacuate tonight, so that is good news. Now it appears that it no longer a question of if Katla will erupt, but when it will erupt! It could be 2 weeks, 2 months or 2 years....
